The sad reality of a shadow

A Shadow is a very wonderful part of a human being. As a matter of fact, behind energy successful man is a shadow — and maybe a woman. Worse than, behind an unsuccessful man is still a shadow — and still make a woman.

What many of us fail to understand is that your shadow, unlike your friends and family, will follow you everywhere you go. Though people rarely get to observe that. It is there with you through the cold and dark nights; through your most embarrassing failures; through your greatest achievements; through your sweaty-palmed, racing heart fearful experiences. And must of all, even when everyone fails to follow you your shadow will follow you—it’s got no other choice than that.

And personally, sometimes I wish my shadow could just materialize to a twin and fight for me when I can’t. But it can’t. It’s fated to cower more than I.

Sad enough, while there are 8,000,000,000+ (which is 8 billion plus) people in the world today, there are also 8,000,000,000+ shadows in existence. But you rarely hear of them. It seems as though the shadows are insignificant in the world today. And truthfully, I wish I could help it.

Under the sun it seems your shadow is scared of everyone — just a tiny dark ball hiding beneath you. In the midst of chaos, it can never suffice to help but will do exactly as you do. What do you do in challenges? Run?

But the saddest revelation of a shadow tonight is that most people live their lives a shadow of others or their pasts. Too scared to “Man up” for themselves and their generation. Too scared to dictate what exactly they want, too scared to speak up— to fight. Like their hands, mouths and minds are for fancy. Forgetting that everything and everyone one was created with a purpose, and that a shadow has no name but that of the person it follows.

There won’t be no King David if there was no brave 17 year old last born son of Jesse to fight for his elder brother, father, country and King. There won’t be no great man or woman in existence if there was no person who rose up from their awful experiences to stand for what they know and want(ed).

In summary, stand up and stand out. Fight for what you believe in and want. There won’t be any great you if you still choose to remain a shadow. Do you follow?
