Everyone is busy for God

It’s not an accusation, check the accuracy of that statement and judge your life.

Many times we think that we are Christians because we pray to God as our Father and the He answers our prayers, or because we don’t live as we used to before. Actually, although those are the results of why Jesus came to die, they are not the main reason why He came on earth.

How many people are alive on this planet? Who do you think is sustaining them? How many do you think are focusing on their source of sustenance?

Jesus came to win souls for God!

Evangelism has been the heartbeat of God since the new covenant arrived in human form. It’s the heavenly Father’s business.

When Jesus was around on earth, He was a constant soul winner, miracle worker, a Sign and of course — a Wonder to His generation. When He ascended to heaven, His disciples continued from where He stopped.

But in our 21st century, barely a handful of Christians believe their work is to evangelise. We hear the most honest reasons why we don’t do what we are created to do, but in the end, it is what it is—an excuse.

We list reasons why we are busy—for God also. Work, family, school, personal life, situations. None of them includes God, but only what we want Him to do for us. We have more prayer points piled for our prayer time that we expect to be answered.

God is not an atm!

God is a businessman.

Matthew 6:33 says

“AMP:But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([aa]His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [ab]taken together will be given you besides.”

Jesus commands us to evangelise,
“KJV:And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

A command is what you must do, given to you from your leader or someone higher than you in authority, whom you’re under.

But sadly, must Christians don’t evangelise, and they still expect all their prayers to be met.

Asides evangelism, there are ways to do things worthy, for God.

One of such is, spending quality time with Him, and Him alone.

Spending time with His people. Heb. 10:25.

Living lives that are pleasurable to God. Romans 12:1.

And the last I’d outline,

Knowing God more often.

Do you want to be a person who God can identify as a lover of Him? Or you still want to accept excuses of why and how you’ve been busy for God? I trust you will choose right after now.

Have a blessed week!
