There are spirits, not necessarily in the beats and orchestration of the songs, but the wordings…
In normal conversations, when you bring up an erotic discussion, you find your body camouflaging to the atmosphere of the discussion. Sometimes you find out you become excited.
Why is that so?
Because words are spirits. They have the power to motivate, excite, upset and even make you feel emotional.
When your fuse in tunes into the wordings you utter, you create what we call SECULAR MUSIC.
Making mention of words—like fck, psy, dck, sex, love and erotic terminologies in songs, Even non-erotic words which are big meant to be jested around with—and fusing them into beats that will surely make people dance and shake their body thoughtlessly, you create an uproar that is appeasing to the flesh and likely the soul, but not your spirit.
Majority of humans listen to the beats and fun-to-speak punchlines, but not understanding the lyrics, or the message the song conveys.
What am I implying? Am I implying that all secular songs are bad and not to be listened to?
Absolutely no!!! Never!
There are secular songs who carry a very direct message and, are very beautiful to listen to. I don’t find it a bad idea. I’m not judging you at all.
However, the songs that have absolutely no meaning, or message to convey. Mostly those who glorify sexuality, erotic fantasies, money, immediate gratification, and those songs that promote bad vices in the society, those songs are all abominations. Abominations because they lead not only the artists but others to more sin, and to imbibe bad behaviors.
That’s what’s destroying the destinies of youths and teenagers. Bad behaviors.
Songs that promote smoking, partying, drinking, female nudity, gangs and cultism, monstrous spending habits, bragging and showcasing things that we are not ready to manage. Those are very terrible abominations.
Just as terrible as the ak-47 rifles we condemn and the war weapons we hate, because these songs are weapons of the devil to deceive youths and teenagers into thinking that this is what is needed.
They don’t promote hardwork, good characters, values (such as humility, modesty), good relationships or even a good reason why people should even listen to secular songs. Or even songs, consequentially adding to the vices and nuisances we have in the society today. And putting the lives of our future generations in grave danger.
Think about it for a moment, why are there songs that we listen to and are not proud to listen to them in the presence of some people or in some gatherings like churches. Because they seem to be like an ear sore in such places and we who flaunt them will feel judged and uncomfortable.
The mind of any living human is like a room, it can be directly connected to your five senses, in that
-what you feel sends impulses to your brain(the center of your rationality, aka mind is located at);
-what you perceive through you nose informs your mind of what is going on in the atmosphere;
-what you taste informs your mind of what you are about to digest;
-what you hear informs your mind of what sounds are projected to the air,
-And what you see paints a picture to your mind of what is before or around you.
Nevertheless, the major tools which communicate directly and most effectively to your mind through music are the eyes and ears. And when they transcend those, they are stored in the area of subconsciousness. That’s why you find yourself singing the lyrics of a song you said you didn’t like, or even musing over it without your will—because they are in the subconscious region!
And it takes some intentional efforts to erase things from the subconscious regions of the mind. Most youths don’t know that, they just let it stay (which is regularly for minutes, hours, days, weeks and even months sometimes).
Secular songs that incite sexuality have a direct impact on the minds of the listeners—which are most often youths. And the truth is that most actions are as a result of thoughts abiding in the subconscious and ignored areas of the mind.
It is true. I don’t want to be associated with songs that will lead me away from purpose and cause me to fall from grace (sin). I’m not sure you want that for yourself also.
