If I am to live my life
Capable of only one ability,
What is that one thing I would want to do,
All my life?
It is to solve a problem.
Solve a problem
too difficult for literature
to describe,
Too complicated for adjectives
to colorize,
Too simple for all schooled to be fooled by its complexity.
What is that one thing I would do?
It is to solve this problem.
Solve this problem,
Like it’s all there is to this earth;
Like it’s the only catalyst for death,
And I am life—Giver, the solution to the rhetorical question.
What is that one thing I would do?
It is to solve problems.
Solve problems,
Those beasts of diverse natures.
I want to find pleasure in
Maltreating them till I distill a solution
out of every situational misadventure.
I would solve problems like my life depends on the solution,
Like the world depends upon my solution.
And when I get the answer
to the unlikely most important question in this life,
What is the only thing I would do,
All my life,
If am ever given a chance?
I would wear an answer boldly on my face,
Like my life’s assignment is my
high school classroom teacher.
I would say,
It is to solve problems till my name becomes a solution in the world,
And in the world to come.
Because I believe it,
I am working towards it.
But if I don’t get there,
I won’t live that question unanswered for my future to tackle.
I am the solution the world needs.
